saw the raconteurs (jack white's new band) at the fillmore last night. pretty good. short show since they don't have many songs... but it was definetly entertaining. they did some covers to fill up time, namely, david bowie - "it ain't easy" and nancy sinatra - "bang bang". the nancy sinatra cover was abolustely brilliant. for the chorus, jack white stood a couple feet back from the mic and screamed into it with such anger, it was quite the sight and very very, er, for lack of a more fitting word, "cool".

so i've spent the entire day looking at clips of bloc party live on youtube.com. ohhhh shit, i can't wait. i'd better make sure i drink a ton of water before the show... here's an example of what i'm expecting:
